Should you tip movers?
Tipping is optional but customary for good service, much like tipping in a restaurant. Moving is demanding physical work, and a great crew that protects your belongings and stays positive through a long day earns it. If the service was poor, you are not obligated.
How much to tip

For a half-day local move, many customers tip around $20–$40 per mover. For a long, full-day move with stairs, heavy items, or extreme heat, the higher end (or more) is appropriate.
